Vaihtoehtoja alkaa tulemaan myös XT lle.
Aika kauan tuli odoteltua mitä tekisi mutta valitsin XT (versio: v0.11.0D-051dc10) jonka latasin koneelleni.
Tuosta Unlimited ja Classic en osaa sanoa kun sen verran uusia. Ehkä joku osaa kertoa paremmin jos ladannut jo ? Ainakin Unlimited muutama käyttäjä Suomessa näyttää olevan.
Tilanne miten nodet ohjelmittain jakautuneet
Classicista ei vielä ole virallista versiota, joskin siitä on koodia kyllä GitHubissa jota voi testiajaa jos haluaa ja osaa. Classicin varsinainen julkaisu on tulossa myöhemmin.
Itse olen jo pitkään ajanut kotona XT nodea (lähinnä “äänenä” lohkokoon noston kannatukseksi) ja aion vaihtaa oman nodeni Classiciksi kunhan siitä tulee ajettava versio.
Voiko tuon XT vaihtaa Classic jotenkin suoraan ilman että tarvitsee lohkoketjua uudelleen ladata ?
Pystyy. Kaikki nuo eri versiot ovat lohkoketjun ja Bitcoin-verkon sääntöjen osalta tällä hetkellä täysin yhteensopivia, joten siinä ei ole mitään ongelmaa.
Mitä käy bitcoin ETN:ille sun muille (esim. ruotsalainen bitcoinia träkkäävä indeksi, XBT Provider) jos/kun bitcoini jakautuu, bitcoin classiciksi ja muiksi?
En ole nyt seurannut tuota XBT Provider -juttua.
Enemmän kiinnostaa se että mitä tapahtuu jos/kun osa nodeista ei ehdi/halua päivittää uudempaan versioon ohjelmiaan?
Tällä hetkellä verkko hyväksyy vähintään versiot /Satoshi:0.8.x/ ja uudemmat. Jos raja vedetäänkin esim. 0.9 tai 0.10 ?
Ehkä ainakin 500-1400 tai enemmän tippuisi linjoilta.

"XBT provider will always act in the interest of the owners of the Certificates and will act in the way that maximizes the value of the instrument. In the case of a hard fork we might in worst case be forced to wait with issuing new ETNs until the outcome is known. We will at all times be able to buy back already issued ETNs at market price in any event.
One important fact to recognize is that all the bitcoins bought and held by XBT Provider for the holders of the Certificates up until a potential hard fork will be spendable in both/all chains (XBT provider always hedge 100% of the risk by buying actual bitcoins). This means that the value of the Certificates after a hard fork will be the sum of the value of the underlying coins in both/all chains. (All coins bought before the hard fork will be recognized and spendable in both chains)
The winning chain will be the Bitcoin underlying the Certificate. If there is no winner, but bitcoin is split into two different coins, one possible solution could be to split the Certificate into two and let the holders decide on if they want to keep or sell one or the other.
We will always be able to buy back issued Certificates in the market and base the price on the sum of the value of the two coins.

Mielenkiintoinen arvio/ennustus tuo kahtia jakautuminen vaikka en sitä heti usko.
Jonkun täytyy vaan tehdä päätös että vain uudemmat ohjelmat käyvät bitcoin -verkossa.
Muuta “helppoa” ratkaisua tuskin on.
Classic v0.12 mennyt kärkeen mutta Satoshin eri versioita käytössä silti yli 50%.

Hyvä huomauttaa, että Classic-nodeista tutkimusten mukaan yli 50 % pyörii Amazonissa. Yksittäisiä henkilöitä on ostanut ison määrän niitä nodeja. Tuo node-määrä ei kerro paljoa käyttäjäryhmän tuesta sinällään.
